A 25-YEAR-OLD woman from Westbury came second in the search for the UK’s perfect bottom this week.
Katherine Jones, of Cheney Walk, was at Cafe de Paris in London last night for Sloggi’s top bottom 2008 competition.
Miss Jones entered the competition after being encouraged by her friend and she was selected as a finalist after an internet vote on sloggi.co.uk.
If she had won, the manager at Mad Hatters cafe in Avoncliff, would have been off to the world final in Paris in November with the chance of appearing in the underwear company’s advertising campaign and pocketing a prize of 15,000 euros.
Although disappointed not to win, Miss Jones remains determined to succeed in the modelling industry.
She said: “I had a laugh with all the other girls, but i thought the organisers could have given us a bit more alcohol beforehand so we wouldn’t have been so nervous. We managed to sneak in one though.
“I’ve always wanted to model but the thought of being knocked back has always put me off.
“It’s my dream to appear in FHM magazine. They do a high street hunny in the magazine so i might go in for that.”
The task of assessing the posteriors fell upon experts from the world of fitness and fashion, including Olympic 100m champion Linford Christie.
Miss Jones said: “Linford Christie was talking to my boyfriend afterwards and he told him that I was a very close second, which is nice but i was desperate to win.”
